Return of damaged bags

Good morning! I've ordered 2 leather bags from a UK manufacturer and both came with dents left by handles due to wrong packaging and storage.
Do you think I have right for a free return, or should I still pay for the return by Royal Mail out of my pocket?
I've paid by Paypal, if it matters.

Surely that's fixable by applying a little heat. No need to return.

I love the colour, but never had to fix smth like this, thank you! Maybe I'll ask the seller if I can try to fix it before return.
Would you apply steam from the inside, or hair dryer from the outside?

Have a Google. I reckon from the outside with it covered with a cloth. Hairdryer first?

If you try and fix it and fail you won't be able to return it. Refer to seller and see what they say. They may offer a partial refund and then you can try fixing it. If they want it returned then they should pay or send you a label.

Hairdryer inside. It won't make it worse, it will either work or not.

I've received an email about Black Friday from Aspinal this morning and kind of gave up on the damaged bags :))
