What shoes would you style this dress with?

Just ordered this dress and will wear it with black tights but unsure about shoes. I need to buy a new coat too, which one would be better?

I want to avoid very long coats.
And not fan of heels.

Ocassion is just a thanksgiving dinner date with my BF, don’t know think the restaurant is super fancy.

I would style it with either a pair of classic oxfords, or knee heigh suede boots in a contrasting colour - like taupe.

Definitely the grey coat, the b;ue one is too short. I would try flat Mary-Janes, the loafers look too clunky.
