I’m 41 and have been using box dyes on my dark brown/ sprinkling of grey hair for two years now. I usually use Nutrisse and do it every 6 weeks ish.
The colour is fine but my hair has gone to shit - I don’t use any heat at all (I always air dry) and rarely brush it even but it is dry and brittle and basically like a bad Barbie’s hair, fine but very tangley. I cut it much shorter 6 weeks ago to get rid of really horrid ends but the same seems to have happened at the shorter length and I really don’t want to go any shorter.
help! I wouldn’t mind the greys if they were a bit more blended but reading the reviews of the grey covering-shampoos those products don’t sound great but have I missed something? Or do I need to really up my game in the conditioner department in which case what should I try? I just use Miniml shampoo and conditioner at the moment, usually every 24-48 hrs.
I don’t really have the budget for salon colouring.
