Cord skirt - what tops to wear with it

I quite like this long cord skirt but I wondered if it would suit wearing a top out rather than tucked in? I’m too big to tuck tops in (size 18-20), and I never wear skirts usually but I quite liked this for winter, however I simply cannot/will not wear a top tucked in. Maybe a sweater that stops just below hips??

I love corduroy, only have one skirt though. Mine's a-line, so quite a different shape, but I don't think there's any reason why either shape requires a tucked in top. Enjoy your lovely skirt!

I have a couple like this, and I wear a crew neck jumper, not tucked in, but fairly slim fitting and sitting just on the top of the hips, below the waistband.
