Holy grail retinol and best vitamin c serum?

I know it's been asked a 100 times and I've read through previous posts but just in case it's changed......what is your favourite retinol serum and vitamin c serum for anti aging?

I got a prescription for tretinoin in the past but dermatologist has moved away so I'm looking for one without prescription now. Ideally not Medik8 type prices (unless I really have to)

Thanks all x

Sali Hughes (Revolution) vit c serum is brilliant for the price.

I rate The Ordinary Retinol 2% serum (needs to be refrigerated after opening) or Neutrogena Retinol Boost night serum. There are loads of good mid priced Retinols but those are the ones I repeat buy and don't cause me breakouts!

I really like Geek & Gorgeous C Glow vitamin C serum - it is 15% L-ascorbic acid, made fresh in small batches. Only thing is you have to buy it online, rather than in the shops.

Geek & Gorgeous also to a Retinal cream which is quite good (although has a yellowy tint that used to rub off on my pillow). Slightly stronger than retinol, without being irritating and it's fairly reasonably priced.

I used it on my neck for several years where I couldn't tolerate tretinoin, and it made the skin there very smooth and soft.
