What is the holy grail eye cream for dark, puffy under eyes?

I suspect a lot of my issue is genetic, but they are getting much worse as I am getting older! And I'm only in my early 30s.

I can't have retinol as I am breastfeeding.

Please help 🙏

Caffeine based eye creams seem to do a bit (not wonders but a bit). I use the Inkey List one which is fairly cheap and gets decent reviews

More water and more sleep… More water will be extra important if you are BF. Dark circles are linked to dehydration

For the puffyness cold tea spoons over the eyes help a little.

Very few lifestyle changes have made any difference to my dark circles. I tend to use a bit of this

And then some Nars concealer over the top. Which is what the lady who did my wedding make up used and I have been using it ever since.

I think there is a fair bit of skill in how you apply concealer, especially to prevent it getting stuck in the creases, so there are a fair few videos out there to watch. Not sure I have ever managed it to be honest.

Don't drink alcohol

TossedSaladandSE · 04/11/2024 12:59

Which you won't be as you're breastfeeding

In which case wait till you stop breastfeeding and it will hopefully improve a bit

Sadly no creams really sort out dark circles

Just concealer

Ah I use this too! And the nars concealer sometimes. It is really good but looking for an eye cream that actually works as I barely fine the time to put on makeup.

I think my issue is genetic as I've always been the same no matter how much sleep and water i get, and my kids also have dark under eyes!

Seriously considering what other cosmetic procedures I can get at this point 💉 as it just ages me so much

I don't think it's alcohol as it was the same all the way through pregnancy, I have the odd glass of wine now. I think you're right about it not really being a problem creams can fix though 😒

The ordinary caffeine has made a remarkable difference in days for me. I wasn’t expecting it. Using with their daily set. Huge difference in my skin overall!
