Perfect wide-leg trousers for evening events

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a pair of wide-leg trousers? I am thinking:
Navy, ideally but open to suggestion.
A heavy viscose or satin, but again open to other fabrics.
Full length, not cropped.
Tailored, probably not involving elastic.
Very flattering, to wear with a (also navy blue) Bardot style top.
Possibly high waisted.
Nice with ballet flats, or trainers even.
Less than £80, much less if possible.

Every year I panic and have FA to wear on my (rare) Christmas nights out. Help me get prepared!!

I saw a beautiful pair of burgundy ones in Tesco of all places. Really luxurious looking.

These Ghost wide leg satin trousers come in colours including navy and are in the sale.

I got some black ones from Next year and have worn them to lots of things, from parties to work networking evenings.

The trousers pictured so far are not true wide pants, which to me should be really wide palazzo pants, like a maxi skirt, long and flowing, and thus more flattering.

Saw them but OP said not elastic so didn’t suggest.

Link came up as page not available, but there are plenty of these very wide trousers around. They can look ok elasticated as long as not gathered into the waist

Ahh, the thread I've been waiting for! Definitely something missing from my wardrobe also.

I did try these on at the weekend, in black - they are nice, if you are looking for something on the slouchy/cool side of formalwear, and good value too. But I concluded I didn't want velvet, so I'm still on the hunt.

Nice, but look like my work trousers!

They are not very flattering! Just baggy. The OP needs extra wide flowing palazzo pants. There are lots around.

Jigsaw are good for dressy trousers
