Elle McPherson bras

Does anyone else wear Elle McPherson Intimates stuff?
I always thought her stuff looked a bit flimsy for those large of tit and I'm never happy with buying 'slebwity' endorsed stuff, but I was coerced into trying some of her bras on today by bossy bra fitting woman in John Lewis and the bras were remarkable - comfy, gorgeous, made my norks look all perky and youthful. I blew about £100 in 5 mins happily. Why have I not done this before

I have. They are fab, fit me very well. I can't get them where I live anymore as no one sells them .

poppy34 · 25/04/2008 20:06

they are fab - and have found maternity ones are just as good. So flattering.

Avenanap figleaves do them - think we get a mnet discount and they do the whole range.

avenanap · 25/04/2008 20:07

YEAH! . Thankyou.

MrsMattie · 25/04/2008 20:09

They do a maternity range?

I'm 8 weeks pregnant and thought I would have to abandon my new found lovely undies eventually. Seems not. I love it!

mrsmattie- they are defo the best maternity options I've found -I am now hacked off that ever wasted money on any other type - more expensive but so worth it as the only comfy ones (esp when you go through that sore breast phase - which seems to have been most of the pregnancy so far )

Avenanap -the other really fab thing re figleaves is they deliver really fast....

cornsilk · 25/04/2008 20:12

Yes I have one it's nice.

I really didn't like my Elle maternity bra. It just didn't seem to give me enough support. I think it would prob have been really comfy at the start when I didn't know what size my breasts were likely to be from one moment to the next (the first week or two) as they are really stretchy, but no good at all for later on IMO.

Do try them on first though, if you can, Elle McP bras seems to be well small, with little give in the back and cup sizes that seem to be just under what they say they are. Lovely designs though - just don't be shy about going up a size! Could just be me though... a lot of my clothes keep on shinking in the wardrobe...

I bought one of her nursing bras and it was lovely, pretty and comfy (but not hugely supportive, it has to be said).

It went very grey in the wash very quickly, then it wasn't so pretty

mummyjaguar · 28/04/2008 13:26

am also large of tit (great expression) and have quite a few of her sets. they do come up small though.

have you tried pour moi (got mine from figleaves) their stuff is really lovely

Katiekitty · 28/04/2008 13:57

Also - I had a lovely set with little polka dots on, the dots came off in the wash! Even in the hand wash! Luckily I found same said knickers (new ones, obviously) in tk maxx, so I bought about 5 pairs of them so when the dots come off, I'll have a nice new pair to look glam in!

Sniff, I used to wear loads of Elle McP undies but that was before DD1. They are gorgeous to wear and well constructed IMO. But now PG with DC2 and even the BF bras are too small. Bought one last time in one of the biggest cup sizes (I'm usually 34DD) but it was woefully inadequate.
