Outfits for the party season

What are you going to be wearing this party season? I need some inspiration, any recent purchases, any recommendations? Please share if you can!

I think it depends on how many events you have, and how formal they are! I really don't have much on. Work party is only a lunch in the office, dinner out with book club is informal, and I don't dress fancy for at home on Christmas Day.

My standby is a pair of black velvet jeans with a nice blouse or sparkly jumper, and a warm sweater-dress with tights and boots.

I’ve bought a pair of silk velvet wide leg cropped trousers, a black satin skirt, a knitted lace stitch maxi dress from Me & Em and a pair of block heeled Mary Janes. I’m planning to buy a specific sweater to go with the trousers for Christmas Day lunch but they and skirt will go with tops I already have. I have a few things on but only two proper parties and Christmas lunch out.
