Just that really. I was so excited to try Tret, but following each use a headache develops within about two hours of application! I even get awful shoulder pain. Am quite confident it's the Tret, as I've changed nothing else in my daily routine and it's happened a few too many times to be coincidence.
So, I'm currently trying to choose between Adapalene or Trifarotene. I could ask Dermatica to swap me to adapalene, or order Trifarotene from Boots Online Dr. I would dearly like to add a powerful retinoid into my routine to iron out the very first signs of ageing I'm seeing and smooth my awful, awful skin texture.
Anyone have any experiences of these two? Do they help with texture and ageing as well as acne (which I don't have)? I know Tret is the gold standard, but no skin treatment is worth enduring crushing headaches, no matter how magical.
And if anyone experienced headaches from adapalene or Trifarotene, please tell me, so I can avoid them.
