Black tie wedding and 8 months p/p!

Please help!

We've been invited to a wedding with a black tie theme in a few weeks and I can’t find anything to wear! I was thinking it would be easy as I can wear black but nothing looks right!

I’m a size 14 (tummy is still an issue after pregnancy! Super soft!) and I hate my upper arms. High necks don’t suit me and I’d really like full length! Also need some sort of heel that won’t cripple me but hopefully make me look less mumsy than I currently feel!

Anyone up for a challenge? TIA!

Budget? Either to buy or rent.

Black tie for women means you can get away with most dresses. Given it’ll be late autumn winter get sleeves to cover arms if you don’t like them. If you don’t like full length that’s fine. There are millions of options online. Next even stock black tie suitable dresses online. Phase 8, John Lewis, Coast, plus lots of smaller retailers. Just order as many as you can and try on in comfort of own home. Good luck in finding something you like.

I'd go with a full length wrap dress like the above. Wraps are flattering on the stomach

I think searching for angel sleeve empire line maxi dress is what you need

Shapewear to smooth tummy ( I prefer 'wear your own bra' type shaping slips as I have a bigger chest and can't stand it being squished into generic sized bras. I really prefer having straps rather than the knicker type shapers that supposedly stay up but always seem to roll down half way through the night).
I'm not fond of these 'angel' sleeves as I don't like my arms and those sleeves just make me look like I'm trying to hide them.
