Cream or White or Ivory Silk Blouse - Not See Through?

Does such thing exist?
Would be grateful for recommendations.

Both M&S Autograph and Other Stories have cream/white silk blouses in stock. I can't guarantee that they're not see through.

With most white/cream tops you can't wear white or black underwear as it shows through, but have you tried nude/beige colour that's closer to your skin tone?

The best colour to wear under anything white or beige is RED, it disappears

Hence why all my underwear is red and I wear white jeans/white wool trousers so much

I think it's very hard for even high-quality white or cream silk not to have some bleedthrough. I have a cream silk blouse from The Fold which is lovely quality, but would still let a different colour of underwear and a little of skin tone show. Similarly people complain about the Chlo from Sezane in cream showing through a little, and I have it in other colours and can say for sure it's a lovely blouse in good silk. I usually wear a camisole underneath silk shirts anyway, to reduce the amount they need washed if for no other reason, but I think if you want to wear a cream silk shirt next the skin then you probably need to accept wearing nude, smooth undies. (Or red, I haven't tried the red thing though.)

@DreadPirateRobots Thank you. Chloe is on my wanties list, so I may go for a cotton white one. Which colours do you have it in and have they lasted well??

@AutumnMood I've got olive green silk and the chambray striped cotton. I love them both. I have my eye on at least one more colour in the silk.

Really?! I am going to try this. I would never have thought in a million years!

I bought one from The Kooples this summer. I still need to wear pale underwear but it's the least see through silk shirt I've owned and the quality is beautiful.

However, very Frenchly, the washing instructions are simply 'pas laver' which I'm yet to test!
