Handbags - anybody care to help me find one?

I need a bag to take carry purse, phone, small diary and a few other bits and bobs. It needs to be easy to carry "hands free" as I push the pram. I had an Oushka one which was great, but it's sadly fallen apart.

In my rather flabby 9-weeks-post-baby state, it needs to go whheter I'm wearing jeans/combats and (fat-face-type) t-shirts, or bit smarter in Boden mac with big spots.

Any ideas please??? Thanks!

nailpolish · 24/04/2008 15:29

nailpolish · 24/04/2008 15:30

nice colour

nailpolish · 24/04/2008 15:31

colourful

nailpolish · 24/04/2008 15:31

summery

AllBuggiedOut · 24/04/2008 15:38

Thanks nailpolish - I don't get on with underarm ones - always seem to fall down when I'm pushing pram and holding boys' hands.

I think the suede one is too big and wintery, quite like the first but a bit on the big side...

next also have canvas across the body ones (a nice blue one)

accessorise has some gorgeous bags just now. go in and have a look - the webiste doesnt do them justice

AllBuggiedOut · 24/04/2008 15:44

Do you think the brown one looks a bit, well, flabby? Quite like the blue, would certainly go with the mac...

Happy violining!

Definitely couldn't do gold, and again, quite liking the canvas ones but nothing that really jumps out at me like the OK one I linked to. Wonder if I could replace the strap...

OP posts:
nailpolish · 24/04/2008 19:25

it looks to me like the strap on the one you linked can be extended - possibly to an over-the-body lenght?

AllBuggiedOut · 24/04/2008 19:34

No, longest it will go to is 93cm, according to the seller

yes its nice isnt it, esp for summer

AllBuggiedOut · 24/04/2008 20:06

Yes, and non-leather appeals too. But can't stop hankering after the lovely Oral one, although know deep down that spending over £50 on a bag that I'd want to take the handle off is silly... is it???

OP posts:
nailpolish · 24/04/2008 20:08

the orla one IS nice but its not very summery

save up for it or ask for it at xmas and then you can have 2!

hope i have done the link right.
i have this and it is really good. big enough for all your baby stuff, washable, waterproof, i cant reccomend kipling enough.

AllBuggiedOut · 25/04/2008 09:23

Yes, link worked thanks, but looking for something a bit smarter and/or funkier.

Let the Orla one go, but still yearning to find something lovely...
