I am a 10/12/14 (depending on the shop and the time of the month) but a bit lollipop headed.

Please?
I have rubbish legs so a cute flapper dress will not do. Plus where do I buy tis stuff?

Where are you style gurus when I need you?

Do you want proper dressing up stuff, because some of it is at least knee length, or how about this, which you might be able to dress up with long string of pearls, mary jane shoes, headband etc?

JackieNo · 24/04/2008 15:12

Ooh - or this, even better.

themoon66 · 24/04/2008 15:14

JackieNo... I came on this thread intending to post the link to that VERY dress!! Great minds eh?

They didn't have it in the shops when I looked last week though. Assistant told me the website is 3 weeks ahead of the stores.

JackieNo · 24/04/2008 15:15

themoon.

themoon66 · 24/04/2008 15:15

The DP one i mean

scattercushion · 24/04/2008 15:18

gosh that dress is perfect! I was intending to make a bit of an off-the-wall suggestion: wear one of your dp's suits with an open-necked shirt, slick hair down with severe side parting, have cheroot in holder with slash of dark red lipstick and be a daring novelist-type.

TheDevilWearsPenneys · 24/04/2008 15:19

Oooh I am liking that.
I already have black ribbed stockings that I am desperate to wear, so hope that wouldn't flash oo much.

[whisper] I was going to say lesbian but was scared of the handbag brigade.

JackieNo · 24/04/2008 15:19

Various knee-length fancy dress options.

TheDevilWearsPenneys · 24/04/2008 15:20

I have tried local vintage shops but they are all too small to fit my hips.

OP posts:
TheDevilWearsPenneys · 24/04/2008 15:21

Ah I don't want 'fancy dress' synthetic stuff.

Tis a very cool club.

OP posts:
nappyaddict · 24/04/2008 15:24

this?

nappyaddict · 24/04/2008 15:27

maybe?

oooh might bid on this myself

TheDevilWearsPenneys · 24/04/2008 15:30

Nappyaddict that is lovely but too short.

Also, I bought a turquoise skull cap with beads all over it (bob style) in a local charity shop (£3 - bargain!). It is perfect, but I'm not sure it suits my moonface.

I love the warehouse one but need to try it on first. Do you think their central London stores would have it in stock?

OP posts:
JackieNo · 24/04/2008 15:37

Another one from Warehouse? maybe? Or is it too full in the skirt?

JackieNo · 24/04/2008 15:39

V expensive, from Monsoon?

JackieNo · 24/04/2008 15:42

Bit of a bargain, but maybe too short?

TheDevilWearsPenneys · 24/04/2008 15:47

The Monsoon one is fab JackieNo, but waaay too much.

What do you think of this

Although, I'm forgetting I hate ebay these days.

OP posts:

I like the first one, but couldn't see the second one (invalid link, or something).

Oh I love that littlewoods one J, but it is a bit short.
I could however wear it with opaque tights and forget the stockings..
