A perfume like Jo Malone Orange Bitters but nicer?

I’m super unadventurous and wear this every winter since it came out. I’d like something similar but with a slightly more sophisticated makeup and more staying power. I don’t really mind on budget.
This is a taat on winter perfumes in the nicest way - as I saw the amazing recommendations and hoped I could get similar help from mumsnetters who clearly know and love perfume.
i wear Jo Malone earl grey and cucumber every day in summer if anyone has any bonus thoughts on how to switch that up. 😳

Some thoughts - all are punchier and more complex than Jo Malone.

Tom Ford 'Neroli Portofino' and 'Mandarino D'Amalfi'

Guerlain 'Orange Soleia'

Hermes 'Orange Verte' and 'Terre d'Hermes'

I have said this on the other thread but Chanel’s Coromandel is my absolute number 1 winter scent.

I’d also strongly recommend DjHenne by Pierre Guillaume. It’s a grown up gourmand - rich and comforting rather than sickly sweet - but it has a chocolate note which I always think carries a hint of orange even though that’s not technically in the spec. I think it could be a nice progression from the Jo Malone.

Have you tried Jo Malone Myrrh & Tonka? I love it in the winter. It's from their intense range and does have great longevity. I prefer it to Orange Bitters.

And how could I forget Darling Nikki by Vilhelm Parfumerie which is just amazing, officially carries a mandarin note, and will last a lot longer than Jo Malone.

(I got a sample in a beauty box and had to buy a full bottle straight away. Love it.)

The Hermes Eau de Merveilles is lovely too. The orange is more pronounced and there’s more spice so I tend to get this out closer to Christmas.

Until you find something better, you could try Marks & Spencer Orange Blossom & Amber. Obviously inexpensive to try. I really like it. On my skin it turns into a lighter form of Estee Lauder Youth Dew. A modernised lighter formulation and a great Autumn scent.

Orange Bitters was my winter go-to until I discovered Blood Oranges by Shay & Blue. It's a bit bolder and zingier, with a slightly woody/leathery dry down. Staying power is amazing. It's the same price as Jo Malone, and they sell travel sizes - good for trying out before buying the full size.

I love Tom Ford Mandarino di Amalfi and Cherry Smoke for fruity scents.

Don’t think I know JM’s Orange Bitter but they have a new Paddington (as in, the bear!) scent out. Think it’s called either Marmalade or Marmalade Sandwiches. I sniffed it recently and it’s really nice and orangey, but the Paddington themed bottle put me off.

Just looked it up, it’s called “Orange Marmalade”.
Love the scent, hate the bottle.

Acqua di Parma have lovely scents. Very evocative and always make me think of the Mediterranean. https://www.acquadiparma.com/en/gb/fragrances/fragrances-scent-family/fragrances-scent-family-citrus/

Good call. Love Acqua di Parma. Favourite is Blu Mediterraneo Fico di Amalfi- fig scent and very citrusy. Quite unusual.

I have this sample and dismissed it just for the name so will start with this - thank you

No suggestions for OP as citrus isn’t my thing, but my friend gave me a sample of Darling Nikki and I LOVE it, not just because of the Prince reference. It’s so £ though.

I think some of the suggestions per pp might be a bit light and summery, although delightful. That Paddington Bear one comes over very masculine to me, and I really didn’t like it (I often wear DP’s Tom Ford so am not against a unisex frag, but Paddington reminded me of my dad’s aftershave in 1988.)

I rate the Mandarin Molecule 01 perfume!
