I’m in the market for a new scarf I already have the classic Burberry so want to avoid another beige . Does anyone have these how do they hold up ? I’ve been told the Gucci one is known for pulls etc but thinking if careful would it be ok?

lv is v expensive but 100 % cashmere so wondering if it’s worth the money ? I’m in a lucky position where I have 700 to spend so it’s either one lv one or the Gucci and if I buy the Gucci I could get another little something, or if anyone recommends any other lv scarf I’d love to hear .

Gucci is 100 % wool
lv 100 % cashmere

btw I’ve already looked at Gucci at Bicester and sadly they sell similar scarfs but none I really like as the price is better there. Thank you

From seeing them in store, ime, the obviously logo-ed scarves tend to be the poorest quality (comparatively), they know they'll sell to a certain audience so don't really bother with putting out the best quality.

If the logo isn't the sole appeal for you, I'd have a look at Johnsons of Elgin or Loro Piana where you'll get the best quality for the money you have. Most designer scarves are likely made by either company anyhow but they make their own brand to the highest standards.

Agree Johnson's of Elgin are lovely
Why do you want a designer one?

I have the LV Essentials scarf in the light grey. It has done 2 seasons with no issues and I have hand washed and pressed it this week to use again.
It had about 6 slight bobbles near the neck area so they have been shaved. I would certainly buy another if I needed to.
I have a Chanel cashmere and wool scarf I purchased in the summer so that will be used soon as well.

I agree wouldn't buy the logo stuff. I had a gucci one and quality wasn't great. Never had LV. Johnstons of Elgin cashmere will probably be better quality and less obvious.

Thank you I’ll definitely look at johnstons as I’ve never heard of them.

I have the Gucci one in pink and it’s been fine. I’m clumsy so pulled a bit but I was able to fix it.

I have a similar from LV in black and silver and it’s very delicate. Quality is fabulous in both.

I have a Johnsons of Elgin cashmere scarf in olive green. Quality is amazing. Though if you're buying it for the logo, it might be a bit boring. I got mine for 50% off in the Matches (RIP) sale a few years ago.

This is the one I have
