What style jacket with wide-legged jeans?

Aaargh … have ditched skinnies, bought wide leg jeans and none of my jackets are going to work with them! Anyone feel like linking some styles I can try please? It must be warm … I’m a puffa girl! And maybe more of a 50’s girl than a 20/30s one! Thanks.

A short puffa would work. Anything short/waist hitting.

Agree that most cropped/short styles could work - puffa, aviator, wool...

Yep short and boxy. I have a short puffer which works well. I also have a bomber jacket which works.

I think long overcoat styles can work well too - the ones to avoid are the in-between length.

Thank you … am off to do some browsing knowing what to look for now!

The 60's look with wide leg/flares was fitted top, belted at the waist and about below hip length. This would work with a wool jacket too, if you are slim and can take a tied/belted waist. It's a more sophisticated look than a casual short puffer, but both looks are in atm.

I think any wool coat looks nice, but they need to be fitted at the shoulder, not too sloppy. The 'everything oversize' look is hard to pull off without looking like a street person.

Short boxy jackets work as well, but watch the fit so the overall shape isn't overwhelming. I also like a biker or aviator style, but then you do have to think about actually staying warm and dry!
