Summer 2025 party dress/outfit - something special!

Hi, I am going to a birthday party next summer at a very nice venue and with some very trendy guests. I’d like to get a really special dress for it - I have a bonus coming and want to treat myself as I never normally get the chance.

I know it’s all winter stuff in the shops right now but I’m excited about planning for it so any ideas would be helpful!

I’m 5’8, 10-12, don’t like upper arms, bit of a tummy, don’t like showing legs either.

I don’t want to look like a wedding guest or a bridesmaid so no florals I don’t think. And I’m nearly 50 so want to look grown-up.

Any of their current dresses will still look fresh and contemporary next year. And grown up without being dull or predictable.

I'd personally prefer it in a metallic black though. And it may not be summery enough.
