I'm looking for some advice, I have dark brown hair naturally with about 40% grey, I get an all over tint every 5 weeks to cover the greys. For the last 4/5 months I have been going to a new hairdresser after my last switched careers. I now seem to have a band below my regrowth. So I get my natural regrowth then I have about 2inches of another shade of brown then my mid lengths/ends are the colour I desire.
My tint also isn’t lasting and I seem to have some orange looking roots around my hair line. I don’t have any red tones to my natural hair. Can someone please shed some light on this? I have spoken to the hair dresser about it and she said she wasn’t sure why it was happening and suggesting going a shade darker. This seemed to fix the issue but after a few washes the band and gingerness are still there. Tia
