Evening everyone, I have my graduation coming up next week and have bought this dress to wear. I am drawing a blank for what to wear with it though.
Should I go with gold shoes and bag or what?
Please give me some ideas

Will you be wearing a gown? A bag isn’t usually a necessary part of a graduation outfit.

I assume you’ve checked and double checked the dress code for your particular institution? (At my first degree place we were required to wear something sober and mostly black beneath our graduation gowns. The others were less prescriptive but still veered more towards ‘business dress’ than garden party.)

As for shoes - the important thing is that you can walk across a stage in them without tripping over.

It's a lovely dress, and a gorgeous yellow. How about bronze shoes, rather than gold?

Tan belt, shoes, bag

It’s lovely dress but doesn’t really say graduation to me.As others have said, generally it’s fairly subdued business type garb under an academic gown. Won’t you be cold in October?

@missblossomhill do please say if you’re outside Northern Europe!

Looks cold and a bit casual. Are you in the UK ?
We had to wear business dress. I had to have a button to attach the gown.
