What a disappointment, it didn't make my eyes pop as promised, it doesn't look any different from my brown mascara 🙄

Might work ok on really fair lashes but brown/ black ,forget it!

They really need to bring back navy mascara,then I'd be first in the queue !

I believe Boots no 7 do a navy mascara....

I got a navy one. Accidentally got it in my eye. Stings like a mother.

It gives me a slight pink hue which could be mistaken for irritation 🤷‍♀️

Me too! I had such high hopes for it, but it just looks a bit off.

Which burgundy one did you try?

They do but I can only wear Maybelline mascara, everything else irritates me sadly.

I tried a burgundy liner once, definitely looked like conjunctivitis 😂

I got the maybelline burgundy mascara and it makes my eyes (green/gray) pop! It doesn't show well on black lashes though, so I only use it when I'm due a tint.

A dark purple mascara is much better for blue eyes. Some burgundy shades have too much red in them. I can't wear any make up these days because my health problems and medication have ruined my skin, but I used to love my purple mascara.

I wear it occasionally but only over the top of black mascara. On its own it looks odd but over black it looks lovely especially if I'm wearing a burgundy top.

I tried it on its own and on top of black and brown. No difference at all on me.

I tried that mascara and thought the same, also it was like trying to wash off super glue. If you want a navy mascara, you need to buy the Kiko Milano one, it’s amazing. It goes on beautifully, no clumping and most importantly of all - no smudging!

Agreed. I bought it when it was reduced for Amazon Prime day and I'm glad I didn't pay full price.

Seems to work pretty well on me, I even have a matching eyeliner.
I am quite dark with green eyes

My friend wears burgundy eyeliner and mascara. It looks stunning on her, but she has red hair and green eyes. Maybe it only works for that kind of colouring.

Burgundy works best on grey/green eyes. The best ever was benefit bad gal but they discontinued it.

I have grey eyes so technically it should work.

I've just bought this too and agree it just looks dark brown. I've got green eyes and had wanted to try burgundy since reading in my teens that it makes green eyes 'pop'. Sadly it doesn't.
It is however a brilliant mascara and I will definitely buy it again in black.

I really like it! Nice and subtle, but definitely warmer than black and brings out the green tones in my eyes.

I'm dark brown haired, so have dark lashes and hazel/grey eyes. My eyelashes fade towards the end of their lengths, so that's where the colour shows most, but it's not that my lashes look burgundy, it's that the green looks more green and my eye makeup looks warmer.

I wear blue and it makes my brown eyes pop.

Listen to us all wanting our eyes to pop ,what a load of sheep 😂

Glad I saw this thread - the very for the maybelline mascara in burgundy showed a model with brown eyes iirc, so I was going to buy this. But I don't want to spend £12.99 to look like I've got conjunctivitis so I'll give it a miss
