Face burning/stinging after sitting by the pool for swimming lessons.

Last week after I took DS to swimming lessons my skin particularly around my eyes and eyebrows was stinging and burning quite badly for a good few hours.

I didn't put 2 and 2 together until exactly the same happened this week. Why is my skin so sensitive to this?! I am not even going in the water I'm just a spectator.

Any tips?

The heat and the chemicals in the water combined might make you sensitive? Some of those pool areas are sweltering and very humid and can make your skin sensitive.

I remember a few years ago now that I had a reaction if I had a hot steamy shower and then did my facial cleansing etc and I had to change to very sensitive products because my face stung. Similar environment and use of chemicals?

It doesn't happen any more so maybe a hormonal reaction or something

If it was particularly around your eyes had you put skincare or make up there recently?
