Never mind a school run dress, I want a shirt dress

I actually like the Boden shirt dress but cannot afford it. Anyone seen anything similar but much, much cheaper out there?
Am large of nork so it needs to be generously cut around the bust to avoid button strain.

here?

RosaLuxembourg · 23/04/2008 14:42

Nice price, Katie, but have the feeling it wouldn't work with my norks, I need something more v-necked.
Where the feck is Cod when you need her? She might as well be doing this as looking at sundresses from White Stuff.

not massively cheaper..

TillyScoutsmum · 23/04/2008 14:48

better ?

RosaLuxembourg · 23/04/2008 14:59

I like the second one very much Tilly - do you think that waist is dropped though (picky, picky)?

I don't know how properly petite it is, but this is in Principles' Petite range.

I didn't think Boden did a petite range. Maybe it was a sample, or something, and they didn't decide to make that range?

TillyScoutsmum · 23/04/2008 16:00

Rosa - I'm pretty sure its not dropped waist... It does look a bit like it on the pic but if you click and see the other shirt dresses, there are a few dropped waist ones on there and this one doesn't look dropped in comparison iyswim

I got a nice one - round neck, grey - off the Gap sale rail the other day

JackieNo · 23/04/2008 18:53

Definitely a P and not an R with a hazy 'foot'? They do R (regular) and L (long) lengths in things.

immaculateconception · 23/04/2008 19:36

I am the petite specialist within my store of Principles. I can safely say that the dress that has been linked to is very good for large of nork ladies. Also have the yummy dress myself, it washes well and is very comfortable to wear. Have sold one tonight to a size 16 lady who loved it. I also modelled it yesterday in the centre on a catwalk, had loads of compliments and enquires about it.

to the op
go throught the mumsnet link and get ten percent off.
or go through quidco, to get six percent cashback. then input the code a853 to get a further 20% off. that brings the price down to £51.88
