Black tie event dress

I'm going to a black tie event and need to find a dress but I'm struggling.
I'm in my 30s, 5'7, and an hourglass size 12. My budget is up to £500.
Does anyone have any suggestions please?

@GlitteringUnicorn I do like needle and thread, that one may be worth trying. I like black, red, dark green, dark purple, dark blue colours or golds. I guess midi or maxi length. I hadn't considered renting but that could be a good idea

@MidnightPatrol I was looking at Rixo but I'm just not sure which would be suitable for black tie 🤔
