Best mutli-styler/hairdryer/tool thingy?

I think I am due an upgrade on my ancient GHDs, Babyliss Big Hair (which doesn't spin anymore!) and my fab (but very heavy) Diva hairdryer...

My hair is a longish bob. I want to be able to dry with it, give it volume, shine and tame my frizz (so I can ditch the straighteners). If I can curl with it too then that would be great.

Is Dyson the way to go or are there alternatives that are as good? Shark? The thing that draws me is to Dyson is they're meant to be gentle on the hair (not too hot etc). But the price is painful!

I have similar hair. I've had everything. Babyliss Big Hair. Revlon One Step, Dyson AirWrap (twice) , Babyliss Curl Secret, Parlux, Dyson Supersonic and so much more.

My friends children and grandchildren love me because I keep buying the new 'big thing' in hair styling, trying it out for a few months and then giving it away or selling it.

At the moment I have settled on a rough dry with the `Dyson Supersonic and then adding volume, shine and flicks with the Big Hair. It looks pretty good but I'm sure I'll be sucked in by something new and shiny soon.
