Does anyone have an ear piercing at an angle (lower at the back) without any issues?

My 12yo DD had her ears pieced at the start of the summer holidays (at a specialist piercing studio, with a needle).

A couple of days later I noticed that the piercings look fine from the front on both ears, but whereas one goes straight through the other has been pierced at an angle, and the post comes out lower at the back of that ear (around 5mm lower, so it’s around 5mm from the bottom of her ear instead of the 10mm on the other). She didn’t even flinch so I’m really disappointed.

We decided to see how it heals. She still has the original titanium flat backed earrings with screw on small studs and it seems to be healing ok (11 weeks on) We didn’t want to take her straight back and make a big deal of it when she was excited about finally having her ears pieced.

She’s now able to change the earrings and I’m not sure whether to take her back to check them before changing them or whether just try to change them myself and see how they look. I can’t work out whether the angle will mean that wider earrings will not lay flat on that ear, or whether hoops would be mismatched.

Does anyone has similarly angled piercings and they’re ok?
