Mother of the Bride with a Tummy!

Help!

Im getting married in December. Micro wedding in a local restaurant with licensed ceremony room.

Mum has a One Hundred Stars Rachel dress I thought she would wear but she's getting closer to the day and feels she may want to buy something new.

She is petite, but very apple shaped - v slim shoulders, arms and legs but a large bust (10-12) and her middle is larger (16/18ish) due to various health issues.

She is looking for outfit ideas but feeling very demoralised with the options on the high street. Considered a trouser set but she can really only wear elasticated waistbands. Suggestions for options or places to hunt welcome!

Alternatively, her One Hundred Stars dress is beautiful but she wants to layer it up for warmth. It's the Tudor Rose print (pic attached). Any ideas there??

Sorry, should read that her slim bits are 10/12 but bust and tummy more like a 16/18

I would go with the dress she has. It will cover the tummy and is lovely. She could wear thermals underneath and have a nice big wool shawl.

I agree wear what she has and wear a thermal or slip underneath, or a white fluffy bolero type/shawl - once she’s inside the restaurant with body heat and food passed around she surely won’t be cold anyway.

What about a velvet coat? Comes in a lovely rose pink that would go with the dress, as would the blue.

There's a few things on the Gudrun Sjoden website might work OP. Some plain and some with patterns that could work as a mixed pattern outfit. Some jackets and some cardigans/coatigans. This is just an example.

Wearing anything on top of that dress will ruin the look, I would suggest a close fitting long sleeve round neck t shirt in a darker colour underneath. Lovely dress btw.

Look at London Sahara too they deal well with shapes like that.
