Jeans which look good with flat ankle boots (and which style of boots?)and

I'm looking for wide leg or straight leg jeans which will look good with flat ankle boots over the winter. I have some mom jeans which I love but they look awful with ankle boots and I just can't have bare ankles in the winter - I get too cold! And don't want to wear heeled boots for walking around all day.

Can anyone link to some outfits that work? I've seen lots of wide/straight leg jeans and boots combos but they all seem to be heeled boots rather that flat.

For wide jeans I think it’s more about toe shape. They look good with a pointier toed boot (or shoe) but other than that, any boot that fits under the jeans would work because you will only see the toe.

If you mean less wide/straight leg, I wear them turned up at the bottom over biker boots but you could also wear a chunky brogue with socks. Here are a couple of quick pics from Pinterest to see what I mean!

I go for straight leg with a Chelsea boot. You can do the turn ups with those too

Straight leg with a flat boot but the jeans have to be long enough. I don’t like wide legs or mom with boots
