Shortening a maxi wrap dress

I really like this dress, but even in heels it touches the floor. How easy would it be to get it altered, given it’s curved, and has embroidery on it ?

Has it a waist seam? Might be easier to alter from there rather than the hem?

It has, but there is an embroidered section just below the waist!

It could be done but wouldn't be easy. You'd need to redraw the curve from the front wrap and take into account how much you want it to come up. It's also a double fabric, neither of which look particularly easy to work with.

Trouble is, don’t want to take much off vertically as it would gape.
