Warm black coat that can fit over a school blazer

My daughter has just gone up to secondary school, and doesn't want to wear a coat because she has to wear a blazer. They aren't allowed their coats on inside at all, and the lockers are often a fair distance from her classes (especially relevant at break/lunch when the corridors are packed and time is short). I'm basically looking for something that's warm, will go over a blazer, but pack into her (already heavy backpack). I'm struggling, as it also needs to be black and a 'brand.' Help much appreciated!

Anything light and packable from Uniqlo? Hopefully trendy enough.

Something downfilled from North Face, Nike or Adidas seems to tick all of the boxes at the DC's schools. Vinted can be your friend (but be wary)

My DD has a superdry one we got last Christmas for her that fits over her blazer. It's all black with a small logo and fur lined hood. I think we got it in the black Friday sale. She wore it on a school trip to Iceland so assume it is warm enough.

No idea if New Look is sufficiently acceptable as a brand mind you.

The expensive North Face ones are a no no IMO kids get mugged for them round here.

My DD also has to wear a blazer but tends to roll it up and stuff it in her bag on days where she needs a proper coat , then swap to it at school. (Yes it probably looks like a crumpled rag by then).

I've suggested this- seems totally logical to me, but it was a hard no!🙈
