Hairspray that doesn't stink of hairspray (smells nice)

If I put waves in my smooth hair using tongs then just using serum won't keep them all day so I resort to hairspray. I've only just started doing this and found a can of Elnet in the bathroom which I've been using, but it stinks of the classic hairspray smell! Plus it's probably really drying.

What else can I use to fix my waves on smooth straight hair all day that's not stinky or smells nice?

Hairspray stinks .. I can only tolerate unperfumed but it's hard to find

Why is it so gross ! It gives me a headache of if I use the perfumed one and I haven't got a very good sense of smell so I don't know how most people can deal with it !

I use this, smells citrus to me. Definitely not classic hairspray scent

I've been thinking about buying a better smelling hairspray too as I tend not to wear perfume and agree that Elnet smells of grannies. I wonder if the Ouai or Living Proof ones are more likely to smell better? Anyone have experience of them?

Davines hairspray, it smells like a good fragrance, but very mild.

Elnett absolutely stinks!

This one works really well and has a pleasant coconut scent.
