What do I wear on my feet!

Most of my jeans are ankle length (M&S Harper jeans) and I’m trying to work out what I can wear on my feet with them.
I’ve got the usual trainers and sneakers but I really want to find some boots that will look good with them.

What would look good? TIA

Converse hi tops and some leather boots - Solovair maybe?

Ankle length narrow or ankle length wide?

I've got the Harper jeans as well and have been wondering the same thing! I'm wondering whether to just keep them for summer wear so it doesn't matter if my ankles are bare.

OK, I Googled the jeans. I like wearing my jeans with a bit of a turn-up at the moment, and I've just ordered some new flat boots. I think I'll like this look - turned up jeans with boots, maybe a bit of sock showing.

Chunky loafers

I really like my Harper jeans. I turn them up a couple of times and wear them with flat calf-length boots.

Is this an OK to have sock showing situ or not? I'm hoping yea as I get cold.

Mine don’t, but I’m sure you could have socks showing. I’d make it a nice chunky sock though, maybe Fair Isle?

These are a bit different, and very versatile.

It's often hard to transition from summer things to autumn/winter things, more so if it's a new shape. I would google lots of images so that your eye gets used to it. I wear mostly barrel shape, some straight leg, and the chunky flat boots and shoes with socks is great but it does take my eye awhile to adjust.

Just looked on the M&S website to see what they're styling their harper jeans with (figuring that might be a good place to start) and they're all pumps, various kinds of loafers and trainers.

If I wanted to wear ankle boots (likely) I'd mess around trying on a few as some would go better than others and it's not necessarily easy to tell beforehand Iyswim.

My new boots arrived, and they're too narrow across the foot 😢.

I like boots with socks, but the problem I always have is that it seems fine for sock to show between boot and trouser, but not if the top of the sock shows and a bit of ankle too. And my socks are rarely long enough to reliably fill the gap, especially with wide leg trousers. So annoying.

The boots are Ten Points - I have a brown (lace-up) pair too and love them. They’re also a great shape for my tricky feet.
Unfortunately, since Brexit, you have to pay extra to import them. Annoying!
@VictoryOrDeath that’s so disappointing! Lanx might also be worth a look? Too narrow for me but you might be OK.

@Talipesmum, this is such a frustration of mine - I just want socks that are long enough to wear with boots comfortably. I don't want knee length socks though.

I tried my boots on again, and I think they might be OK! They're so beautiful. So I'm keeping them.

I have the Harper jeans and never wear them with boots! They don’t look right. They are for pumps, trainers and flip flops. With boots I either wear straight leg jeans, wide legs or skinny

I've just bought some harper jeans and I think they look good with chunky Chelsea boots.
