Should I get a leopard print trench coat?

Strangely drawn to the idea but concerned I might be possessed by the ghost of Bet Lynch.

(Vinted purchase but not inconsequential to my shopping budget...).

Should I get a leopard print trench coat?

Depends whether you look more like Bet Lynch or Annie Lennox.

AdaColeman · 01/10/2024 12:19

Yes, buy it. It looks like a fun purchase that will brighten up winter days. I've got a gold trench coat that I absolutely love.

caramac04 · 01/10/2024 12:22

I love it. Not sure I could pull it off but it’s fab

mechanicalpencil · 01/10/2024 12:23

I love it!

Alicana · 01/10/2024 12:23

Well it’s definitely very Eastenders if that’s your bag!

EngineEngineNumber9 · 01/10/2024 12:24

I love it! But then I’m tacky as hell and would wear this over a Barbie pink trouser suit.

DramaAlpaca · 01/10/2024 12:25

Yes!

CaptainMyCaptain · 01/10/2024 12:25

I would.

urbanbuddha · 01/10/2024 12:28

Go for it.

SecondFirst · 01/10/2024 12:31

Do you have the confidence? I guess not because you had to ask. This type of statement will draw looks and comments everywhere, it will get tiresome.

JMAngel1 · 01/10/2024 12:38

Remember Liz in Motherland - expect lots of compliments, come ons and flowers 😂

TheSproutOfWrath · 01/10/2024 12:47

Yes! I've now popped onto Vinted and have one I'm considering.

Andnowshesatoddler · 01/10/2024 12:48

Sooo hands up who are now on vinted searching leopard trench coats 😆
🤚

UpToonGirl · 01/10/2024 12:49

Depends what your style is like, it would definitely be something the ladies near would wear. I can imagine it with DMs, baggy jeans, a leather crossbody and a cool haircut. Pairing it with stiletto boots and mini skirt obviously gives a different vibe.

If you like it go for it!

nearlyfreefromnappies · 01/10/2024 12:50

I love it!

Happierthaneverr · 01/10/2024 12:50

Yes!

BlueGrackle · 01/10/2024 12:54

I don’t think it’s too outlandish. Can’t imagine anyone really commenting, unless they’re lacking social skills, or the coat is very very different to your normal style.
Even if it’s the latter, wear it, they’ll get over it.

FemmeFemme · 01/10/2024 12:58

The print is fun (leopard is a neutral in my books) but I am not sure about the shape, it looks short and flared. If you have other pieces that work with it - go for it!

GinForBreakfast · 01/10/2024 13:52

Hmmm.. I will mull. I don't think it's that outlandish either but needed to check with S&B.

I think you should, but I wear leopard print jeans so bit biased!

Anedina · 01/10/2024 15:19

I think leopard is a neutral, does that mean it goes with anything, it looks nice

Purplecatshopaholic · 01/10/2024 15:21

That over an all black outfit will look very chic. Don’t go for big earrings and a beehive!

henlake7 · 01/10/2024 15:23

If you think you will wear then then buy it! (girl maths says anything off Vinted is always a bargain!).

I love leopard print but TBH Im not too keen on that one, it looks abit 'dotty' rather then a natural leopard print.
But as a statement? yes!
I have a lovely tweed trench coat (thank you, Vinted!LOL) and I can throw it on over anything and instantly look like I made an effort.😎

AmICrazyToEvenBother · 01/10/2024 15:26

Would it suit you? My friend looks great in animal prints, I would just look weird and tacky.

NewspaperDoll · 01/10/2024 17:28

Not a fan - the shape looks dated. I’d rock leopard print elsewhere and spend your not insignificant coat spend on a trench that’s a bit more timeless.
