Shoes that suit this dress

Hi everyone,

I have no style (ha) but bought this dress for my sons christening last year. I tried approximately 100 pairs of shoes and couldn't find any that looked quite right but ended up wearing brown boots.

Would like to wear it to a party next week and hoping someone can suggest some shoes, preferably toes closed so I can wear nude tights under as it will be cold

I have this dress and it looks beautiful on.

I've worn it with navy suede stilettos and glitzy gold ones too. Both from M&S with lovely padding in the soles.

The gold shoes bring out the subtle gold thread running through the dress. I got some gold stacked rings and navy clutch bag. Finished it off with gold eye shadow
