I need good belts: help me shop?

As the title says I need good belts. No idea where to start looking or what would be a good value price so open to suggestions.

I do wear jeans so belts that fit jeans belt loops are on my list. But I also wear dungarees and dresses so belts to elevate that sort of look also welcome.

I know I don't like wide cummerbund style leather belts because they cut me in half while eating so not that. Not keen on plastic at all: prefer leather or fabric. I like colour.

Please give me ideas or links. Price not really an issue but value matters to me so anything expensive needs to be good quality and a bit timeless.

I have really struggled to find these too, I don't know why it's so hard to find a belt that isn't stupidly designed.

Mint Velvet surprisingly good for let's, I have the eyelet belt in 2 colours and am looking at a third mintvelvet.com/collections/belts

When I need belts that are practical rather than decorative, belts that keep my jeans up, I like men's braided belts with a little stretch. Women's beds are usually thin and fragile. Men's belts are usually much more robust. I have a jewel green one, a grey one, and a blue/white/black one. I'm on the lookout for another rich, bright one - purple or dark red, perhaps.

Google elastic braided men's belt.

I like leather belts from Uniqlo, &Other Stories and Massimo Dutti. Uniqlo belts are plain but good quality, good for jeans. I've also got belts from M&S that are ok. Definitely check in the men's section in any store, the leather tends to be better quality for the price.

Following this with interest. I'm in Melbourne and find that in department stores, women's belts are dotted around randomly so an exhausting search ensues. I've not thought of Uniqlo.

As it happens, Aldi did a centre aisle special with men's leather belts - plain, well-made and anonymous last week. I'm not keen on paying over the odds to advertise Levi's or RM Williams.

I have one of these, which I bought in-store and am happy with: https://www.mackenzieleatheredinburgh.com/product/leather-west-end-belt/chestnut/

Having said that, their standard measure is a much shorter belt than I prefer (three holes past your typical fit and then the end of the belt, which means it would end right at the front.) I prefer a longer belt that goes all the way to my hip.

My previous (and formerly: only) belt is a black leather belt I got from a shop that did various leather goods about ten years ago. I went back a few years ago to try to get another, but the shop was no longer there. It's got some crack lines in the middle of the buckle when buckled now, but is otherwise holding up well and still great.

Thank you everyone. I'll be near a Mint Velvet today so can definitely start there- appreciate the tip @Defiantlynot41

Frustrating though typical that the advice is to look at products marketed to men because the quality is better! I want interesting colours and I doubt men's belts will be that interesting. Might mosey round TkMaxx too and see what they have.

I wish there was an easy way of telling how well a belt will age. Too many of mine have split over the years.

Those sashiko belts are amazing. Love this one in particular.

Not sure if that link will work?

The leather ones: lovely but it seems I do have a price point and it's somewhere south of 600 euro! Thank you though: interesting to look even if I won't buy.
