Tie on satin dress keeps undoing by itself

It’s my outfit as a wedding guest. How can I stop it doing this, I don’t want to expose myself! 😳 Any ideas?

Safety pin?

You could try using a small safety pin after the cross over tie to keep it together and then tie the bow on top. That should keep the tie together without being too obvious.

Not quite clear what you mean but if it's that it's held together by knots/bows in slippery satin then maybe some safety pins on the inside layer of the knots would help?

You can buy magnet sets for skirts. Or do as I do and use an ornate scarf or hat pin - if you use a pin, either do it in the seam where there is more than one layer, or reinforce the area first - iron on vilene on a small area in the reverse of it would work.

Or you could stitch yourself into it on the day.

thanks everyone!
@ErrolTheDragon yes that’s exactly what I meant
I quite like the idea of the ornate hat or scarf pin, thanks @ThatAgileGoldMoose 😊
