Which handbag with a budget of £500?

Currently wear one of my trusty Uniqlo crossbody bags most days but would like something a bit smarter for when I'm going into the office. Budget of up to £500. Needs to be worn with my laptop bag (rucksack) so crossbody would probably work best but open to other ideas. No idea where to start so would be very grateful for any suggestions of styles or brands. Thank you!

I don't like jazzy obviously branded bags with shiny hardwear. You didn't say if you did. So I may be wildly off the mark

For that price point I love coach bags! The leather is lovely and I find them hard wearing and really practical.

As others have said Coach or deMellier. Strathberry do some similar bags within your budget too. Depending where you live, a trip to Biscester might open up some more expensive options too.

APC's Grace bag is a nice and simple cross body bag, good quality leather and well priced. Perfect size for wallet, keys, phone etc. Comes in a variety of colours. Some brand new ones available on eBay.

Going to do my usual and say Elvis and Kresse for unusually classic bags. You could get a couple for that price.
