... they just thin out with time?
I have a few t-shirts in this fairly basic style (although crew neck):

I love them because they don't pile, wash well and are lovely and soft. However, I've noticed recently that they have become kind of see through. Even my black one - you can start to see my bra through it. I've always followed care instructions.
I'm just really disappointed. They may not be that expensive in some ways but they are not cheap, either. I've owned them maybe 3 or 4 years. Am I expecting too much after that time?
