Best moisturiser to follow retinol for bad acne

Hello,

I've been given Differin by the GP for my acne.

I'm looking for recommendations for a moisturiser to use after it that would help with my acne and work with it.

I've used dermatica and it's making it sting a bit

My derm says the most important rule is First Do No Harm.

I am using a prescription retinoid for antiaging and your skin might be more oily than mine. But Cetaphil seems to be a good brand for this principle. I use the cream in a large pot but my derm also recommends a smaller (but not tiny) pump bottle for people with more oily skin.

I had started with CeraVe but it stung. The Cetaphil is very soothing

I use neutrogena hydro boost water gel after retinol at night and aveeno moisturiser and / or aloe vera gel during the day. Agree that cetaphil is generally a good brand too.

I found differin much better than acnecide, much gentler, but still can’t use it every day without it doing more harm than good. Acne is the worst 🙁

Another vote for Cetaphil. Just started using it & wish I’d discovered it sooner.

The Ordinary do a balancing serum, it's a lovely texture and not too sticky and tacky. Bright pink in colour. Could you use that followed by a hydrating moisturiser?

I've just bought the Clarins double serum, pricey but feels lovely

ELF have a moisturiser called holy hydration or Cetaphil is a good shout x

La roche posay is good, cerave is good. Here is my routine that I follow:
Morning:
Using water to wash your face,
Sebamed clear face gel,
Garnier spf
Evening:
Cerave moisturizer,
Started with Tretinoin (0.025) from skinorac
Sebamed clear facial gel
