Thick, towelling sports socks.

Hiya, I need to invest in some more sports socks but I don't know where to start. I need them to be thick towelling and probably throughout the sock, not just partially.
Any ideas? I usually take marks and spencers kids ones for myself as a grown adult, but just wondered if anyone knew of any better ones.
Ps. I don't want hiking/woolen socks.

I also don't want the really short ones that are referred to as 'trainer liners'/'trainer socks', they will fall off my feet.
