Online ring shopping to treat myself

I'm looking to buy myself a ring and was considering going to a nearby jewellery quarter but as I've been having a nosy at their websites I've seen websites for online only retailers that are significantly cheaper.

Has anyone used any and can recommend, or should I avoid and visit a bricks and mortar jewellers?

You need to specify your budget and some indication of what you're looking for her.

But in the meantime I can recommend this jeweller.

Rings | Shona, Glasgow Jewellery Designer

Shona's main selection of rings incorporates silver with 18ct gold for precious detailing. View my Puzzle Rings and stacking rings.

Hmm. I ended up buying my DP’s engagement ring online, after a few physical visits and browsing. I’m not sure whether it’s cheaper though, I just prefer online shopping I think. I used https://www.jacquelineandedward.com/ who were wonderful.
for myself, I often buy from Monica Vinader or PDPAOLA. Not individual / unique pieces but I have always found lots I like.

Online jewelers often offer lower prices due to reduced overhead. Just be sure to check for certifications, return policies, and customer reviews. I found wonderful options with all of these at Friendly Diamonds.

Definitely worth checking it out if you're shopping online: https://friendlydiamonds.com/ring-settings

Have you considered second hand vintage, I spend a lot of time browsing eBay as I prefer vintage styles. I bought a vintage sapphire and diamond ring in 18k yellow gold for £85 a while back. It's lovely, I keep meaning to get it valued to see if its genuine or not, but it looks nice enough that for the price I paid it really doesn't matter what it is made of!
