Size 16 - what size coat? L or XL

Just that really. I’ve seen a black puffer jacket in TK Maxx website. It’s £70 so can’t afford to buy both and send one back really.

Which size would you pick? I don’t want it to be a snug fit as want to wear big jumpers under it in winter but equally I’m 5 ft and round and don’t want to look swamped.

It’s DKNY if anyone know whether to size up or down?

When I go on Vinted, size 12 is Large. Because of this I'd go for extra Large fora size 16.

XL

I have a DKNY puffer I got in TK Maxx. I got the XL and I’m a size 16 bottom, 14 top.

It’s got plenty of space for a jumper underneath too.

Would probably depend on brand, can you go on the brand website to suss it out.

Personally I would find a DKNY size guide and check against that. My instinct would be the XL, but you just never know!

XL for sure.

XL would be my choice I'm a large 16 small 18 and it would have room for bulky jumpers in case of a cold winter.

Size 12 isn’t large, 14 just about is. 14-16 is average size large. However, TK Maxx is anything but max and XL might be the right size

I'm not saying i think size 12 is large but this is the sizing on Vinted. 8 is small, 10 is medium, 12 is large and so on. I'm a 12 so have to buy large on Vinted.

I think we get confused about large and fat.
If you are a size 12 and healthy weight then you are likely large in terms of height. (5.7 maybe)

When I was a size 12 a few years ago 🥲 it was definitely labelled a L

Definitely XL for a 16 plus if a L is 12 would you not be a XXL?

This is bizarre 12 has never ever been large

14 is usually L. I’d go for XL but sometimes I size down in coats.
