Has anyone got any reviews for Varley? It all looks very nice upmarket leisure wear. Is it as nice irl?

Yes the material is gorgeous in real life, very flattering. They have a flagship store in Sloane Square

Bellaboot · 22/09/2024 07:59

I wear active wear for a living and I think Varley is very overpriced at full retail.

The leisurewear like sweatshirts, jumpers, bottoms and coats are lovely. High quality materials and cuts, they look really expensive. I don’t find the actual sportswear (leggings, sports bras) to be as good as other brands though and get those elsewhere.

Thank you for your replies. It's more the leisure wear than actual fitness wear and by the sounds of things the leisurewear is really nice quality.
I didn't realise they had a bricks and mortar shop.

I have 2 sweatshirts. The most luxurious feel. One is black and it's that deep expensive looking black. I do think it's overpriced though

I have a few leggings & sports bras.
I find them fine for yoga, but they are not supportive enough for proper running type sports and the leggings fell down when running. Fine as loungewear

How is Varley sizing please?
I'm a size 12/14 & debating Medium or Large for 1/2 zip

SparrowFeet · 29/09/2024 12:43

I'd size up to the large. The sizing isn't that generous and if you're looking for a hoodie I'd say it's better if it's more roomy than less.

RichTea90 · 29/09/2024 13:22

I would say Varley is good quality. However, I agree that it’s overpriced. But their sweats, tops, jumpers are worth it for the quality I think. I always have to size down as I find their sizes too generous, but I’m short and have a petite frame so that could be why. I’ve currently got my eye on the Eleanor patch pocket fleece, Freya sweat and the Davidson sweat. Agree with others that you can get better leggings from other brands though (I’m a big fan of the Power leggings by Sweaty Betty or Lululemon’s buttery soft leggings).

What other brands would you recommend then?

MintyNew · 29/09/2024 13:34

I went into Anthropologie yesterday and they had a sale section with Varley ridiculously priced. Didn't know they even stocked.

Oh wow, I didn’t know that either! I often check other websites that stock Varley & try to buy on sale or with discount code.

Cantonet · 29/09/2024 15:36

I think it's really good quality.
I've bought a couple of Varley Vine jumpers off eBay & in the sales & they're pretty weighty.
