Are these knee high boots too big on my calf's?

Just bought them from Sam Edelman, I have small calves but think these might look a bit silly?

Maybe ok with black tights so the gap is less obvious?

They also do a suede version which might come up different.

What do you think, are they too big/look silly?

The gap looks a bit too big. Sorry.

They look a bit like wellies, which doesn't work with the heels and toe shape.

I think they’re too big on your calf but I like my boots to be a snug fit. I like Fairfax and Favour or Rydale boots do similar boots. The Spanish Boot Co are good for boots to fit slimmer calves too.

Yes they are too big. I have the same problem, with boots being too big on the calf's, and also ankle boots being too wide on the ankles. I'm not particularly skinny and have a normal bmi. It's frustrating!

I have recently discovered that Clarks do narrow fit boots and shoes on Amazon (but not on the Clarks website).

I’ve got a similar style & the extra space on the calves means I’ve only ever worn them with mid calf skirts or dresses to cover the flapping about at the top - but they haven’t lasted as well as they should. They’ve got creases in them & look a bit tired where they move about, whereas if they’d fit my legs properly this wouldn’t have happened & they’re meant to look rigid. They were such a bargain in the topshop sale but I shouldn’t have bought them. This is unusual for me as I have heavy calves & struggle with knee high boots not zipping up, hadn’t found an easy fitting pair since lace ups were a thing in 1995, I think I was so elated that I didn’t care that they looked a bit off
