Does anyone here shop with Landsend? I have a slightly odd question.

If you are a regular, can you tell me, are their winter coats likely to go up in price in the autumn?

The reason I ask is I have been given some money for my birthday and what I really really need is a new winter coat as I am sick to death of wearing a Berhaus type waterproof jacket all the time.

I like their 3/4 lenth waterproof coats and can afford to buy one now, I'd prefer to wait until the new season comes out but I'm afraid that when I come back to buy the prices will have shot up.

God what a long boring waffling question. I must be the dullest mner here tonight.

Anyway, do their prices go up?

a very half hearted bump

ok one more and that's it. I'm barely interested in the answer myself tbh. Why am I even thinking about winter coats now? I'm just wishing my life away, how sad is that. I should be cherishing the spring and thinking about flip flops.

They used to send me their cats but sorry can't remember

But they deffo do have sales

so if it is in sale now i would get it

cmotdibbler · 20/04/2008 20:41

Their prices are very stable - coats haven't gone up much in 5 years or so.

Farb · 20/04/2008 20:50

Thank you RT and cmot. Coats not in sale atm but seeing as I am still going out with scarf and gloves, on a winter coat purchase now might not be such a ridiculous idea.

That or the moment it arrives the hot weather will commence

I don't know the answer, but my limited experience of Landsend is that they are not...how shall I say... quite at the very cutting edge of style. So will the new season's coats be noticeably different from this year's? it is why you want to wait for the new season that puzzles me.

Farb · 20/04/2008 21:16

lol dusty. Ahh but my personal style is also not at the cutting edge so I'm sure Landsend and me will go along hand in hand nicely.

No in my mind, filled with useless boring crap, I was wondering if I should just wait until september and actually go on an investigative coat shopping trip but run the Risk of the landsend coats going up in price.

I cannot tell you how depressed I am at ever even starting this thread, FGS my DH's Nan has more entertaining and exciting things going on in her head.

farb-sorry to resurrect your dull thread.

I have this jacket in brown and it's fab.

Did dither about getting lands end winter coat but glad I did as it's so snug and you can nip the waist in to make it look less like an anorak.

btw americna website haws much better pics
