Facial hair - how to remove?

Since I hit my 40's, I appear to be steadily cultivating a moustache. I have a fair complexion and v light blonde hair, so at first it wasn't particularly noticeable, but now I feel like it's all I can see, and probably everyone else too (in reality I know they probably haven't noticed anything!).
What are my best options for dealing with it? In my mind, waxing or creams are going to leave me with a 5 o'clock shadow, so I'm nervous. I read laser hair removal won't work for me because I'm so fair.
Does anyone have any advice, or can reassure me that I'm not going to accidentally saddle myself with a full on tash? Thank you!

I'm dark haired & menopausal. I have used the jolen facial wax strips for years & just tweezer any stragglers I can't get. I'd say I don't every couple of weeks.

I’m super hairy and mostly fair but getting more thick dark hairs as well now. I get my lip and chin waxed every 3 weeks, and side of face every 6 weeks. I always put a thin layer of sudocrem on after which helps the skin calm down quickly. The skin usually only has a couple of small red bits for 30-60 minutes after but when I first started it was more noticeable the first few times.
It’s not ideal, but £1000 on laser made minimal difference. I don’t get my nails done and cut my own hair so I can afford this luxury. I’d have a full beard by now it I didn’t 😔
I think if you do your research and ask friends. Then just pick a method to try and see how it goes. Different treatments work for different people. It’s rubbish being hairy though.
