Hoodies for a young teen

DD will be 13 soon and has asked for a "nice hoodie". She is becoming more fashion conscious but is cursed with a mother who is clueless on the subject. So I'm hoping someone here can help and maybe in the process I'll find out about shops other than Next where I can shop for her:

She is getting other gifts too so I'm looking for a hoodie that is:

• warm (not thin cotton)
• no zip
• not cropped
• no more than £30 max
• won't make her feel like her mother dressed her

Buying clothes for a teenager is a minefield. Just on this thread you’ve got people saying White Fox is the brand and others saying only chavs wear it. You’ve then got the kids who absolutely don’t want to wear the in brand and those that would “literally” die if they don’t have it.

There’s nothing worse as a teenager than getting slightly the wrong thing. Yay, a hoodie! Crap, it’s WF/Primark/Nike. Just ask her what her acceptable shops are. You don’t have to spoil the surprise but at least get some ideas from her. Otherwise it’ll end up in the bottom of the drawer never to be seen again.
