What's your favourite shampoo?

I'm looking for a great shampoo that leaves hair shiny but not fluffy or heavy. It's needs to be paraben and sulphate free.
I used to use Faith in Nature, but my hair is bored of it (I've tried every type in this range).

My hair is going grey and since menopause had started to get a bit wavy and fluffy. It's almost too soft!

I straighten it, but I want to be able to leave it sometimes and not have it all fluffy!!

pantene

I have wavy fluffy hair. I have tried all sorts of shampoos, conditioners and products and found absolutely nothing that will let me get away with not straightening it.

I'm looking at getting the dyson airstrait in the vein hope that will dry and straighten at the same time to a good enough standard that I don't need to use my GHDs.

Aussie range is good and affordable. The 3 minute miracle conditioner is super.

I like Lavera rose, it's sulfate, paraben and silicone free. Bit pricey. JASON biotin is good.

There was a nice looking one at Naturismo if I find it again I'll update the thread

Aveda botanical repair range

Tresemme always leaves mine looking and feeling nice. Mine’s long and thick.

I think you need to try products rather than new shampoo, something like L'Oréal Extraordinary Oil is excellent for menopausal hair.

Sukin hydrating

My dd swears by the orange L’Oréal, I think it’s called something lengths.

I feel like I’ve tried every shampoo known to man, but the important part is conditioner

I got a tub of Christophe Robin in a Look Fantastic edit over the summer, the scalp scrub and sea salt shampoo. It’s really lovely but I’d never spend that much money on a shampoo.

I use L’Oréal purple shampoo once a week or even less because my hair is highlighted. It lifts the lites and takes away the brassiness.

My hairdresser recommends Kerastase, but I’ve yet to try it.

That doesn’t really answer your question! Blush

MyStylish40s · 16/09/2024 09:30

Sorry, I don’t know if any of those are sulphate free. I missed that part of your post

abcdmyusername · 16/09/2024 09:31

Aussie is fantastic and smells really good. If you've got a Superdrug card you can get good deals in there rather than supermarkets x

AurumTroyoz · 16/09/2024 15:08

Thanks everyone, I'll work my way through this list 😀

I recommended New Wash on another thread yesterday - I swear I’m not affiliated with them! Just super impressed by it

DeCaray · 16/09/2024 15:45

Once a week I use Fairy washing up liquid with no conditioner and my hair is amazing afterwards.

The rest of the time I use shampoo bars from Gruum -

Sometimes I use Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Hydrating Conditioner or their leave in one.

I’ve just bought a set of shampoo and conditioner bars from KinKind and I have to say, I’m impressed. (I’ve tried others but the lather on the KinKind shampoo bar is great. I bought the Make Me Shine ones.)

I really like Phil Smith curly locks range, but it is getting harder to find. I've just bought some more of the conditioner but the website doesn't have the shampoo. I really should go into his salon as he is local to me and see if the product is still available but they have changed the packaging.

I also like using Aussie Miracle Moist shampoo and it seems to not only really clean my hair but make it feel soft and not frizzy. My only issue with this range is the scent which I find far too sweet and fruity.
