I have highlights every 10 weeks, and overall I would say I'm a caramel blonde. I used to have mainly dark blondes put through but since I'm going white (!) at my temples decided to go for a brighter blonde and have had some bleach the last few appointments, in the hopes of them blending in a bit better. But, I'm still finding that the white hairs show through, especially when my roots start to show. I'm considering asking for platinum blonde highlights as I'm thinking the white hair will blend in much better.
So, what do I need to know? What haven't I considered? Does it still yellow with time, like bleached hair? What if i don't like it, can it be coloured over? What would the process be to get the platinum highlights?? I.e. I have a lot of golden blonde at the moment, does this need to be stripped back to my natural colour first?
My natural hair colour is dark blonde, and my complexion is fair/cool.
