It's quite fitted on me and I have boobs. It's been sat unworn for ages. I'd rather dress it down.... What would you wear it with? (Other than pink metallic jeans that it's pictured with!!)

Tucked in to black wide leg trousers.

Doggymummar · 12/09/2024 22:00

Jeans skirt, it looks versatile to me

LaundryShoulderBag · 12/09/2024 22:07

It doesn't look very good tucked in to be honest, as there's not enough fabric to french tuck it and have some overhang over the waistband if you see what I mean.

I think because of the length it cuts me in the middle horizontally which is why I'm struggling... I usually try and do the third/two thirds thing with top and bottom.

Is that a Topshop top?

Webbymeister · 13/09/2024 07:29

Black flared trousers

rosesareredvioletsareblueaimverytiredandsoareyou · 13/09/2024 07:30

Black trousers.
If you're not loving the top and/or it doesn't suit you then maybe just sell it on?

Sparklywhiteteeth · 13/09/2024 07:35

It looks very dated, honestly if you don’t like it donate to charity, no need fo force yourself,

TooMuchRedMaybe · 13/09/2024 08:02

I think blue jeans in a contemporary style (defintiely not skinnies). I don't think black trousers will work well with this, the whole thing will then just look dated. You need to dress it down essentially.

Princessfluffy · 13/09/2024 08:09

I'd go for a Y2K look with bootcut jeans and a baguette shape bag
Pointy boots.

stanleypops66 · 13/09/2024 08:11

I don't love it but probably with a long or short black leather skirt.

Spomb · 13/09/2024 08:12

Jeans. Not black trousers. Black trousers and patterned top looks like a 1980s department store uniform.

LaundryShoulderBag · 13/09/2024 08:24

Thanks all. It's fairly new and I loved it in the shop. At the time I tried it on with the leopard print jeans I was wearing at the time and it looked great - thinking I'd have loads of things to wear it with!

I think you're right on the colour...

Wide legged blue jeans.

Britpopbaby · 13/09/2024 13:53

I asked if it was a Topshop top as I bought it ( I think) from a charity shop and took it back as it didn’t work for my shape.

Growlybear83 · 13/09/2024 14:26

I'd wear it with straight black jeans.

No it's Ganni.

I'd go for a denim midi skirt if you want to look current, personally I'd be going full emo with black skinnies, but I am not fashionable. Love the top OP.

I had pretty much the same top when I went to uni in 1997. That's brought back memories. I wore it with wide leg black trousers then
